Life is hard. It’s even harder when you are trying to be someone you are not.
I was on that road trip for WAY too long.
I came home from work one day in late 2007 and began to embark on another complaint laden rant of how my job was draining the life from me. I was all set to remind the world that “I was meant for more than this!”…except for one thing. Actually, one incredible person. My wife stopped me mid sentence, handed me a glass of water, and told me to go to my office. I was literally being sent to my room! She (more than rightfully so) had listened to me for months like this and had enough. The instructions she gave me were simple…
Go to my office, watch the video that she had cued up on my computer, and not come out until it was over.
The video changed me. Almost instantaneously.
I emerged from my office in tears, realizing that who I was becoming
didn’t look anything like who I was called to be.
My life started to change that day…and over the course of several years has brought me to this moment in time.
On February 17, 2014 I released my first book. It’s called “Comeback Bringing”. It speaks to some of that journey back to who I was called to be….and how you can find your way back too.
You can learn more about that by clicking here: COMEBACK BRINGING.
You are probably wondering what the video was that reduced a grown man to tears.
Here is the link: WATCH THIS VIDEO!
You should watch it. Seriously…like right now. Before you do anything else.
After you are done…
I would like to invite you to come back to this site.
I tell stories from different experiences in my life…and a lot of them have to do with what I have learned from being a dad and a husband.
I have an AMAZING wife and three INCREDIBLE kids. And the reality is I feel like my kids teach me more than I feel like I can teach them sometimes. So I thought it would be fun to pass the stories, humor, tears, and silliness along…quotes and all.
Thanks for visiting.
I hope my blog is an encouragement to you. I also hope it challenges you, inspires you and gets you moving in the direction of your calling that you have been hard-wired to fulfill. I hope it helps you the same way it helps me…to see the joys of being a husband and father through the lens of what it looks like to leave a legacy worth following.
I’m looking forward to more storytelling and friendship building.
Thanks for stopping by.
