“I Never Saw It Coming”.

This was the result of something that could have been avoided.

The person driving this vehicle said they were blinded by the sun and mistook a red light that meant stop for a green light to go.  Thankfully both drivers from both vehicles walked away safe from this accident.  It could have been tragic.

This picture reminded me of what so many people are doing with their lives today.

They are so hyper-focused on the next thing, that they aren’t navigating the current thing well.  They are so focused on wanting to be at their destination already that the journey to get there and the details necessary to complete it get set aside.  It’s at that moment when we lose our proper focus that pictures like this one become our current reality.

What are you so hyper-focused on that is distracting you from where your focus should be today?

We need to take the time to re-assess our surroundings, our vision and our purpose for why we are doing what we are doing.  What can you do today to avoid being in at the same situation as this picture?  I want to encourage you to take another look at where you are, what you are doing and where you are about to go before you just “go for it”.

Please make sure that what you think is a green light actually is.

There are many lives affected by your decisions today.  No matter how small and inconsequential you think those decisions are.

It’s the difference between red and green.

The difference matters.

Take the time today to make the right choice.

My hope is that you and all those around you never have to look back and say…

“I never saw it coming”.
